Sometimes it’s easier to wake up in the morning when you know you have something delicious to look forward to—such as brunch.
Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver’s in-house restaurant, Market by Jean-Georges (1128 West Georgia Street) has recently launched its rosé-themed summer brunch series that runs every Saturday and Sunday (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) until September 3.
The menu is aptly named “Rosé All Day”, which features a selection of appetizers, entrées, desserts, and the star of the show—rosé cocktails.
We suggest enjoying your meal on the eatery’s outdoor patio, which features a comfortable atmosphere and plenty of sunlight for that perfect food shot.
Guests can choose to start with appies such as a whole artichoke, avocado toast, and crispy crushed fingerling potatoes. If you’re feeling fancy that morning, go for the Kusshi oysters or charcuterie board.
Main courses include everything from French toast with caramelized bananas to smoked cauliflower croque-madame, and smoked salmon and avocado benedict to braised short rib hash, among others.
Dessert-lovers will be happy to know that several sweet bites are available, such as a lime bar (spiced caramel, vanilla scented carrots), Market cheesecake (crispy strawberries, rhubarb sorbet), and affogato (espresso, vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate).
Creative rosé cocktails that brunch enthusiasts can pair with their dishes include the rosé bouquet (Kim Crawford rosé, Tanqueray gin, Lillet blanc, simple syrup, grapefruit juice), rosé all-day sangria (Jackson Triggs reserve rosé, St. Germain, raspberry lemon, grapefruit, club soda), and the Instagram-worthy rosé popsicle (house made popsicle with Ruffino sparkling rosé).
Besides good food, a relaxing atmosphere, and great libations, local musician Omar Khan will be providing live music during brunch.
