If you think it’s hard deciding what to eat in downtown Vancouver, it’s going to get even more difficult when this local favourite opens its door later this summer.

Tacofino will be opening its fourth Vancouver location inside the Bentall One building (1050 West Pender Street), in the heart of the city’s financial district.

The 1,350-square-foot counter service eatery will feature 30 seats in its dining room, with an additional 10 seats on its patio.

That means white-collar workers will be able to easily grab some tacos or burritos during lunch (for eat-in or take-out), or enjoy a drink on its patio to celebrate the end of a long working day.

Vancouver designer Shiloh Sukkau will be creating a relaxed but stylish atmosphere, and will take inspo from mid-century Mexican resort towns like Acapulco.

“We’ve enjoyed being part of this Downtown neighbourhood for five years already with our White Lightening truck, and we’re now stoked to offer this new permanent location,” said Jason Sussman, Tacofino’s co-founder, in a press statement. “We might be growing in size, but we never forget the principles on which we were founded—serving up quality, fresh and affordable menus that are individualized for each unique location.”

Tacofino’s other brick-and-mortar establishments in the city are located in Gastown, Yaletown, and Hastings-Sunrise.
