Catch A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Liebrandt at the Vancity Theatre
If you missed its Vancouver premiere last month, this week offers more opportunities to catch the documentary A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Liebrandt. Sally Rowe’s film follows the highs and lows of New York chef Paul Liebrandt, the youngest chef ever to receive a three-star review in the New York Times, at age 24. It explores Liebrandt’s artsy, experimental, avant-garde approach to cooking and goes inside his high-stress kitchen. The film screens from Friday to Monday (November 18 to 21) at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street), with a social-club component on Friday. For information and tickets, see the VIFF website.
