Chef Meets B.C. Grape pairs wine tastings with nibbles

Comments

The largest annual tasting of B.C. VQA wines in Vancouver takes place next Thursday (September 20) at the Vancouver Convention Centre East (999 Canada Place), with some good food, to boot. Over 300 B.C. wines will be poured at the Chef Meets B.C. Grape event, including new fall releases. Fourteen restaurants will prepare dishes to pair with select wines; for example, Cibo Trattoria will be working with CedarCreek Pinot Noir, Le Gavroche will match Cassini Cellars Cabernet Franc, and the Oakwood Canadian Bistro will pair its dish with Laughing Stock Blind Trust White. Tickets are $75 per person, with partial proceeds benefiting Ocean Wise. For more info, see winebc.org/.
