Nostradamus brings hefty Chilean sandwiches to Vancouver streets

Comments

Green beans in a sandwich? They work when that sandwich is a churrasco. This Chilean specialty, made from grilled sirloin strips stuffed in a kaiser bun, comes with a variety of toppings at the new Nostradamus food truck. (The Mediterranean version has green beans, tomato, and green chili or hot peppers.) Other toppings include avocado, tartar sauce, and a delicious cilantro-based “green sauce”. Those who prefer pork-tenderloin strips can choose a lomito instead. The hefty sandwiches run $6.50 to $7.50 each, or you can get two sliders for $4.90. The cart usually parks near Broadway and Granville Street on weekdays; follow @churrascos4u on Twitter or text 604-671-2179 for the exact location.
