Richmond Night Market makes for good food fun
With a spacious food stall area and plenty of tables for sit-down eating, it’s fun to nosh at the Richmond Night Market (8351 River Road). There are so many interesting options—from Filipino-style barbecue to Japanese rice burgers to German pork hocks—it’s hard to choose just a few. I like the Lala Rice Roll booth because they cook the beef, pork, and shrimp Chinese rice rolls to order ($4.50 each), ladling the batter onto a steam tray and then scraping up the cooked noodle to form a roll with a spatula. You can dress it to your liking with seafood sauce, sesame sauce, peanut sauce, and more. For market info, see richmondnightmarket.com.
