Sustenance Festival aims to connect communities

Comments0

The Sustenance Festival, which starts today (October 11) and runs to October 21, aims to connect the art, culture, and food security communities. It features a broad range of events around town, including an exhibition on Food Innovation in the City, fall gardening workshops, a film-night fundraiser to support both local urban gardens and ones in Africa, and a food-cart festival with over 40 participating trucks. There are also culinary workshops covering topics such as edible weeds, fondue-making, and cheese-making. Prices vary, with many events free or by donation. For schedules and info, see sustenancefestival.ca/.
