Tales of the Cocktail tour hits Vancouver with events for serious drinkers and dabblers

Many beverage enthusiasts have already bought passes for the four-day series of seminars and parties that constitute Tales of the Cocktail on Tour Vancouver. But the festival, which comes to town from February 12 to 15, offers something for the casual dabbler, too. On February 13, eight local restaurants are offering “spirited dinners” in which chefs and mixologists team up to match drinks inspired by a theme (such as Sazerac or La Belle Époque) with each course. Dinner prices vary; see talesofthecocktail.com/ for info. On February 14, all drinkers are welcome at the B.C. Bar Crawl, for which nearly two dozen Vancouver bars will feature an original cocktail, each priced at $11.
