On two wheels headed to UBC

I saw you ahead climbing up the hill, carbon frame, commuter gear, two MEC paniers; you were my target. I was riding the baby-blue frame with red handle bar tape. I finally caught up and passed by as you slowed for the bus. You took the bait, passed me and threw down the gauntlet. The race was on. I drafted behind as you rode up the hill, I eventually passed and yelled 'thanks for the pull,' but you didn't hear. We traded spots one more time before I pulled ahead and turned at Toronto st. The competition was friendly in my mind, but I'm not sure you felt the same. No hard feelings? Until we meet again, in the bike lanes.
