Today, there was a young woman, about 30, dressed in black jeans and a black sweater, but not mysteriously, or ostentatiously. She is a white woman. We are, for all intents and purposes, immobilized in a chair, during the infusion. She had on her lap, a bound hardcover notebook, of light blue coloured cover, with lined pages. I would guess, about 7” x 10”, or less. For about ½ hour, she wrote quickly, continuously and effortlessly, line after line, page after page. She stopped only once, as if to think, and then resumed her uninterrupted writing. She wrote quickly, as if from memory. From where I sat, it appeared that her handwriting, was uniform and legible. I have no idea what she was writing. She wrote in sentences, so it wasn’t a list. It did not have the appearance of a letter. I wanted to ask her about her writing, but it seemed like such an atrocious invasion of her privacy, that I did not.

Where: Richmond IV Clinic

This is a way past call, reaching back to the fall of 2017. I am desperately seeking a nice looking female of around 40 at that time, who happened to become my poetry inspiration. She would leave the West Coast Express coming from the direction from Vancouver, to board the shuttle-bus 170 every working day at about 4 to 4:30pm and getting off at the bus stop 53733, Kelly Ave and Shaughnessy in Port Coquitlam. Despite of colder days coming, she was wearing nice and colourful dresses every day, looking more than awesomely. Nobody could have missed that blond, fashionable woman. That's why she caught my attention and me, being very much impressed by her look, I wrote a piece of poetry about her. She was traveling with her female friend, always taking their seat behind the bus driver, chatting and having their laughs while traveling a few stops for max of 10 minutes. In this way, I am giving it a chance to find her in this forum. I know it works. Anybody's assistance who may know that lady is highly appreciated.

Friday Sep 8 afternoon, I saw you on the bus 33. I promised myself I would say hi to you if we got off the bus at the same stop. You were dressed with style, I noticed you. You noticed me I thought. Instead of saying hi, I said bye. You replied with a mix of surprise, quite excitement. You looked at me, as I was walking away, with what seemed like sadness, but felt like wisdom. Like we’ve known each other, like you will see me again. Soon. I will be on the same bus, same time, often. Until I see you again. Until I live up to my promise to myself and I say “Hi”

I saw you from my vehicle, a gray SUV, I was driving my friend's son to the MacMillan Space center, you were the beautiful woman, Latina in appearance, wearing heels and a nicely fitted dress, dark shoulder length hair, petite in stature, very well put together, you noticed me notice you, I'd have stopped for a chat if it was possible. I actually sped back after dropping him off, but it was too late.. Me: Black man, medium complexion (partly European) shaved head, sunglasses... I'm still hoping to run into you again.

Let's see if this actually works, haha. You were a most beautiful tall black man coming out at about 2 pm, I became shy as I noticed you noticed me checking you out but tried to look back and smile. The sky train was packed when I got on at Broadway City Hall. I noticed you right away, dressed in all black with a cute white top. I was dressed in all black with my tattoos showing. We both shared glances as we got off at Vancouver City Centre. As we got to the top of the escalator you crossed the street to the bus stop and turned to look at me. As I began to cross the bus pulled up and you got on. I was coming to say hi, but realized I missed my opportunity. We shared one more glance through the window as you sat down. I hope we cross paths again.

You had silver on your fingers, fingers on your hands, hands in the air, like you--almost--didn't care. But you did care. You were upset at the docile and still Vancouver crowd. (It's not always like that.) Your indignation was charming because I was in agreement. Your hair is blonde and straight, your dress was black and gracefully arc'ed. Me; short hair, kinda clean shaven, sneezed into my coat and you blessed me. Welcome to the left coast. I would be delighted to have you join me and a rotating roster of friends for live music, dancing, and other cultural shenanigans. I think you'd have fun.
