Why: Layering is one of my favourite things about fall fashion. It allows you to stay cozy while looking chic, not to mention being a great excuse to buy a few extra pieces. I love this gorgeous cable-knit sweater by BCBGMAXAZRIA; the varied knits and luxe cream hue are signature traits of traditional cable-knit sweaters, while the off-centre zip and asymmetrical fold-over collar are more typical of biker jackets. The exaggerated hip detail adds interest and gives the illusion of a smaller waist. Layer it with a Henley waffle T-shirt, a plaid flannel button-up, and worn-in denim to play in the leaves or pair it with a silk tank under a chambray shirt with patterned silk trousers for a casual-chic day at the office.
