Whether you're looking for new cabinets, funky art, or a solution for your grout-lined bathtub, you'll find it all and more at this year's Vancouver Home + Design Show. While there are tons of clever storage solutions, renovation tools, and trendy decorative homeware booths on the floor at the Vancouver Convention Centre this year, these five brought something a little different.

Coconama Chocolate in the Portobello West Market

These heavenly homemade ganache chocolate truffles boast a list of high quality ingredients, colourful presentation, and a melt-in-your-mouth texture that ought to be illegal. Naturally flavoured to taste like Earl Grey, black sesame, pumpkin spice, lavender, and more, the variety of flavours and rainbow of colours made this chocolate addict ready to buy them out. Did I mention that you can sample anything, free of charge?

      The M(art)ket

No matter how cramped your Yaletown studio might be, there is always room for art on the walls. Eight artists, including Donna Giraud, Robert Jackson, and Shakun Jhangiani are featured in the show's M(art)ket, exhibiting paintings, canvases and photographs that are sure to bring some character to a dull room, at a price that won't break the bank.

The Ultimate Upcycling Challenge: Take a Seat

Want to know how your favourite local T.V. personalities and designers might take a run-down piece of furniture and make it fabulous? Before the show, 15 designers were given a budget of $50 and a toolbox of products to take an old chair and spruce it up to the best of their ability. Attendees can bid on these chic seats in a silent auction, with all funds raised going towards local Habitat for Humanity projects.
