Most of us know about the minute of silence at 11 a.m. every Remembrance Day.

Now, a Canadian bank is taking this one step further by calling for a minute of social silence.

BMO wants Canadians to avoid using Twitter, Facebook, and other social-media platforms at 11 a.m. on November 11 to honour men and women who've risked their lives in defence of the country.

BMO is also giving $50,000 to the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command Poppy Trust Fund. It's all part of the #TakePause campaign.
