Now’s the time to hold on tight to those New Year’s resolutions. If exercise was at the top of your list but you can feel your motivation melting away faster than our dusting of snow disappeared, consider checking out some of the region’s hottest gyms—and incentives they’re offering to get you into their studios and into shape.

      • Ron Zalko Fitness & Yoga offers newbies a free trial at its 20,000-square-foot facility. If you like what you see and sign up, you can add into your schedule classes like Kickboxing, Zumba, Pilates Fusion, Dance Sculpt, Restorative Yoga, among others, or you can go solo with a wide range of weights and equipment.

      • Drop in for a tour of the co-ed YWCA Health + Fitness and you’ll get a free day pass, too. Aside from more than 60 classes a week and an indoor cycling area, the facility has an indoor pool, hot tub, and steam room.

      • Steve Nash Fitness World and Sports Club offers those looking for a fresh start a free all-access seven-day pass.  Depending on the location, this might include use of a Pilates Reformer, the option of child care, a ladies-only area, a separate yoga room, or more.

      • A free three-day pass is available at Club 16—Trevor Linden Fitness, which has memberships starting at $4 per month. With a new location opening soon in Surrey and She’s Fit as its sister club, Club 16 doesn’t require a contract for its regular membership.
