As of Thursday, we’re halfway through Mercury’s retrograde cycle. While there’s still another week before the messenger planet becomes visible in the morning sky, this sun/Mercury alignment sheds more light on circumstances, priorities, and the lessons of the day. Mercury’s main objectives for this retrograde period are for you to figure out how to get things more under control, to legitimize yourself and your needs, to put better boundaries in place, and to make better use of your time. The best you can do for now is to see reality for what it is, to employ added patience, and to keep working toward better organization.

Also on Thursday, Mercury is favourably aligned (by trine) with Jupiter, a great mobilizing transit. Watch for more travellers, justice seekers, and newsmakers to be on the move. Mercury/Jupiter is a trendsetting combination that puts everything into a fuller swing, so watch for more action from the trade, commerce, and currency sectors; the stock market and the sports and entertainment industries; and the weather. Both of these transits are a good lead-in to “shake not stir” Friday.

It’s all good for the weekend, with Sunday hitting the sweet spot better than Saturday. Venus/Jupiter and Mars/Neptune prefer to indulge, romance it, or relax rather than sweat it.

Monday’s Taurus moon begins the new workweek on a smooth and lucrative track. Tuesday comes and it goes. Wednesday has plenty of kick-start buzz to it, thanks to the sun’s advance into Aquarius (7:28 a.m.) and Mercury cracking the code with Uranus.

Aries
March 20 - April 20

Despite Mercury retrograde, Thursday is optimal for a meeting, banking, a talk, a stop or start, for figuring it out or taking an official step. Watch for a positive result or news regarding a legal matter, a petition, or an application. Friday is also primed for action—the Aries moon is hot to trot! Monday can be especially lucrative or productive. It’s good for romance, too.

Taurus
April 20 - May 21

Something can fall into place and work out wonderfully well, especially on Thursday. Good timing is on your side. Sunday/Monday delivers for you too. Friday through Sunday morning, tackle it; strike while the iron’s hot. Tuesday/Wednesday, the move-along comes with more juggling, layers, or bits and pieces. Snags or stumbling blocks aside, things are looking up. Yay for the refresh button!

May 21 - June 21

Thursday/Friday, you can make significant headway with someone or something. It’s the right time to call it quits, wrap it up, or sign on the dotted line. Think in terms of here to stay, the long-range objective, or the long-term gain. The best, your all: don’t hesitate to spend on quality and/or take on something substantial. On Wednesday, something fresh and new gets up and rolling.

Cancer
June 21 - July 22

Activities, errands, meetings, talks, or wrap-ups run smoothly and productively on Thursday. Ask for advice; consult with an expert, a parent, or one with experience. Friday evening through Sunday, when the mood or the moment hits, give in to it. Sunday/Monday is optimal for romance, creativity, or going with the flow. On Wednesday, something fresh or unexpected makes for a busy go.

Leo
July 22 - August 23

Better organization and/or a fuller commitment wins the day. The work, repair, revision, correction, and/or healing goes very well on Thursday. Sun/Mercury also marks the now as an important precedent or stage-setting time. Friday stokes passion and action. Saturday through Monday you can coast or go slow, but as of Wednesday the stars are on a fresh perk-it-up.

Virgo
August 23 - September 23

Aim for a repeat or try something fresh; great timing is on your side on Thursday. Jupiter in Virgo helps you to get your message across, speak your mind or heart, to make a great save, score, or turnaround. It can be easier than it looks and/or go more smoothly than you anticipate. As well, you’ll fare better when you give in to the process, the reality, or another.
