This year marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of the 1986 World Exposition on Transportation and Communication in Vancouver.

To commemorate this historical event, the Museum of Vancouver (1100 Chesnut Street) is offering a special Expo ’86 pricing for visitors on Monday (May 2).

Admission will be $4 for everyone on that day only.

Cake will also be served at 11 a.m. so be sure to head there early if you want to join in on the treat.

A new display will also be showcased at the museum: Recollecting Expo ’86. The exhibition will display a fraction of Pete Visscher’s extensive collection of Expo '86 memorabilia.

Expo ’86 was one of the largest public events held in B.C., and attracted over 22 million visitors to the city.
