The Vancouver Writers Fest has unveiled its lineup for this year’s edition of the literary blowout, set to run from October 21 to 26. And the scale of the festival continues to grow, with organizers assembling the largest roster yet.

It will be, as ever, a forum where the local and the global converse. Vancouver and B.C writers—among them novelists Caroline Adderson, William Gibson, and Lee Henderson—will be joined by fellow Canadians such as poet Dionne Brand, novelists Kim Thúy and Miriam Toews, and short-fiction writer and Twitter-based storyteller Arjun Basu.

They’ll welcome an acclaimed international contingent from as far afield as Iceland and Australia, including Dublin’s Colm Tóibín, the Pulitzer-winning Jane Smiley, Californian noir master James Ellroy, and Norway’s Karl Ove Knausgaard, author of the groundbreaking multivolume autobiography My Struggle.

See the VWF’s website for the complete program.
