Your horoscope from August 21 to 27, 2014

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Thursday’s stars are well put-together, so seize your advantage and communicate, problem-solve, or set a plan in motion.

Friday through Sunday, the Leo moon makes for a great please-yourself or spruce-it-up weekend. Hair salons and shopping malls should do quite good business, especially on Saturday.

Mercury in Virgo has already created a noticeable change in the air. The sun’s entrance into Virgo on Friday at 9:46 p.m. signals the official start of get-back-to-it season. Often, we experience this summer wind-down as a kind of loss, but the consensus shows that most of us are in the mood to turn the page. In this regard, Monday’s new moon clocks it just right.

Accompanied by a host of additional planetary alignments, this is not your average new moon. For starters, Venus trine Uranus makes for great bring-it-to-life synchronicity. Mercury in a creative alignment with Mars and Saturn results in an excellent get it said, signed, and done day. Most importantly, Mars/Saturn marks the completion of a two-year date with destiny, a karmic priority cycle, while at the same time they “go live” on the next reality show. A goal reached or newly set, fruition or consequence; this time-is-ripe moment is of major significance—it defines and dictates what comes next. The Emmys are a great example of how Mars/Saturn acknowledges and rewards those who’ve worked it out right.

On Tuesday, Venus reconciles with Saturn’s reality. By Wednesday, Venus and Mars—the relationship duo—turn another corner.

It lends you more swagger and sway, and more sexy too.

      Leo

The sun exits your sign on Friday, but you can still bank on the Leo moon through the weekend and a great Venus-in-Leo aspect through Monday. These transits help you to make the most of it. With such great stars on your side, you should find ready satisfaction and success no matter where you aim. Tuesday/Wednesday requires more from you.

Want more money, love, respect, or attention? Put more effort into it, and improvement is your long-term gain. More immediately, the stars are in a gifting mood, especially on Thursday and Saturday. Whether the prompt is ambition, necessity, or reward, Monday’s force-the-envelope is especially productive. Stay ambitious, launch it, sign the contract.
