      There was some pandemonium on Robson Street today. 

      That's because Justin Trudeau became the first prime minister to march in the Vancouver Pride parade. 

      It was actually his third consecutive annual appearance, but this was the first time he was doing it as the top elected official in Canada.

      It was also the first time he was joined in the Vancouver parade by his wife Sophie.

      Mayor Gregor Robertson was among those walking with Trudeau, who was accompanied by far more police and security personnel than during his last two Pride parades.

      As of this writing, the procession is continuing through Vancouver's West End.

      Below, you can see some photos I took in the waiting area along Thurlow Street and as I watched the parade wind down Robson Street.
