The 2016 Summer Olympics kick off in Rio de Janeiro this Friday (August 5), and to celebrate the occasion, lululemon is launching its Team Canada beach volleyball uniforms in select stores across Canada.

Developed by lululemon’s design director of intimates and swim, Clare Robertson, the 11-piece collection for men and women—titled Fade to Glory—was designed in consultation with athletes who will be representing Canada in this summer’s Olympic beach volleyball events.

The high-performance gear is crafted with a slew of the Vancouver-based yoga house’s proprietary technologies, including Silverescent and X-STATIC, which help eliminate body odour. From game-day tops to bikinis to sweatpants, each piece is made from chlorine- and salt-resisting Lycra and an ultra-flexible post-consumer waste fabric that protects the skin against ultraviolet rays.

Robertson also opted to colour the uniforms in a patriotic black-to-red gradient, while inscribing the expression, “Be in this moment. It’s yours.” on the inside of some pieces. This is the first time that lululemon has partnered with Canada’s beach volleyball team to design and manufacture its Olympic uniforms.

The limited-edition Fade to Glory collection starts at $18 and includes the Game Day top, Suns Out bikini, El Court tanktop and short, Scuba hoodie, pull-over hoodie, Pulse jacket, Swiftly Tech scoop long-sleeve, Metal Vent short-sleeve, and Speed Tight and Chamber sweatpants.

All pieces drop online and at lululemon stores in Vancouver this Thursday (August 4). Scroll through the images below for a peek at the collection.
