Zombiewalk will "spread the infection" throughout Vancouver

Fans of The Walking Dead will be happy to hear that the hit TV series is coming to Vancouver next month. Sort of.

Donning ripped clothing, white contacts, and a whole lot of fake blood, hundreds of city dwellers will take to the streets for this year’s Zombiewalk. Vancouver's largest public flashmob—or, more appropriately, fleshmob—the macabre event will see participants shuffling from the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery onto Robson Street, slouching down Denman, and finishing (somewhat appropriately) at the creepy Laughing Statues at English Bay.

Sporting some of the most terrifying costumes you’ll see all year (because, let’s be honest, you’re more likely to hang out with slutty Snow White than the cast of Night of the Living Dead on Halloween) the march aims to “spread the infection” through Vancouver’s most populated areas.

With participants to hamming it up for the cameras, Vancouver’s Zombiewalkers promise to leave a blood-soaked trail in their wake.

      Sweet dreams.

Zombiewalk will assemble at 3pm on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery on September 10.
