You may be familiar with Stanley Park’s Second Beach pool as a family-friendly hot spot, where kids happily splash around and parents enjoy concession stand food.

But for a single night (September 9), the popular swimming destination will be transformed into a poolside cabana fiesta to host Oasis Beach Club (Stanley Park Drive) from 7 to 11 p.m.

The inaugural event is produced by branding and marketing agency The Social Concierge, and ticket proceeds will go toward Canuck Place Children’s Hospice—a pediatric palliative care provider.

"As BC's pediatric palliative care provider, Canuck Place is a sanctuary where over 670 children and families live each moment to the fullest," says Margaret McNeil, Chief Executive Officer of Canuck Place Children's Hospice, in a press statement. "Thanks to Vancouver Park Board's enthusiastic support, we're excited to bring that philosophy directly to our Oasis Beach Club guests at a location rarely available for events of this nature."

Attendees can expect a night of art and music: world-class DJs will be playing alongside live drum and saxophone performances, coupled with interactive art installations by local artists.

For those who are keen on the food and drink aspect of the party, signature cocktails and passed canapés will be served throughout the evening.

General admission tickets ($75 plus service fees), and VIP private cabana experiences can be purchased online. Oasis Beach Club is a 19+ event.
