August 20: Treasures & Travels Market at the Vancouver Mural Festival

Vancouver’s first-ever mural festival takes place this Saturday (August 20) in Mount Pleasant. And while local artists are jazzing up blank canvases across the ’hood, various local makers will gather at Thornton Park (1166 Main Street) from noon to 6 p.m. to share their own forms of art. Presented as part of the Vancouver Mural Festival, the Treasures & Travels Market features over 20 of the city’s funkiest vendors, who will have a range of men’s and women’s apparel, stationery, homewares, and art on-hand. Shop comfy, boho-cool tops by Jackson Rowe, adorable cacti pins from the Littlest Fry, macramé wall hangings by Forage and Lace, and more.

Live music by Vancouver artists such as Jenny Banai and Peach Pit, plus grub from Matchstick Coffee, Hugo’s Churros, and more, are also part of the lineup.
