Two lost hikers were rescued near Crown Mountain but a trail runner is still missing in the Cheam Mountain Range.

North Shore Rescue located and assisted two hikers who became lost on the Hanes Valley Loop on August 18.

The hikers, Jason Chon and Fred Park, became lost while heading to Crown Mountain.

The two men were able to call for help. NSR sent out two search teams at 9:30 p.m. and hiked them down to the base of Grouse Mountain after 2 a.m. on August 19.

Neither of the two hikers had any equipment to hike in the dark, such as flashlights or headlamps, and did not have any of the 10 essential hiking gear items that North Shore Rescue lists on their website.

Meanwhile, the search continues for 50-year-old trail runner Gordon Sagoo from North Delta.

Sagoo went missing on August 14 while hiking with two others in Chilliwack's Cheam Mountain Range.

Chilliwack Search and Rescue and Sagoo's family and friends continued searching near Baby Munday Peak on August 18.

So far, search efforts involving helicopters have not yet revealed any clues.
