Local, handmade gifts aplenty at Got Craft? holiday market

      Sure, it’s easy to swing by the mall to check off your holiday gifts list, but it’s much more fun to give—and receive—presents that are one-of-a-kind and made with love.

      Not everyone has the time and skills required for DIY, however. If you miss the Make It! Craft fair taking place at the PNE Forum (2901 East Hastings Street) this week (December 4 to 7), there’s another chance to scour handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts before the holiday season is over.

      Got Craft? presents its holiday market on December 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Maritime Labour Centre (1880 Triumph Street). This is the 16th show for the local biannual market, and this edition promises over 70 vendors spanning clothing, jewellery, food, home décor, and art.

      Arts, crafts, and paper goods vendors include Along Came the Fold, the Beautiful Project, craft’ed, Designs by Val, District Dogs Designs, Draw Me a Lion, Firefly Notes, g ceramic & co, The Hive Printing, Jon Shaw Paintings, KT&Paul, Little Wren Designs, Mail Chimp, Onana Knitted Accessories, Orphan Animal Pics, Paperbacknote, Port Paper Co., Pottery and Paint, Quirky Paper Co., Shi Studio, Shoreside Studios, Urban Sketcher, and Wild Gears.

      Snack on edible treats from Batch Sweet Kitchen, Chef Kev’s Market, Coconama Chocolate, Delish General Store, Half Baked Cookie Company, Karla’s Specialteas, Livia Sweets, Make Cheese Inc., Mellifera Bees, My Chocolate Tree, and The Salt Dispensary.

      Local food carts Attendees will also have a chance to make their own handmade goods with free DIY workshops presented by Delish General Store, Small Wonder, and Spool of Thread.

      Admission to Got Craft? is $3 at the door (kids 10 and under enter for free). The first 50 people who enter each day will receive a free swag bag.
