The Cambie and Broadway intersection, near the Canada Line's Broadway–City Hall station, is attracting a number of new foodie attractions.

The super popular Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, which draws lineups to its Robson Street spot, will be opening a second location there, with Honolulu Coffee slated to open one of two new locations in a neighbouring unit.

What's also moving in is Victoria's Health and Organic Bar.

The local company opened its first store in North Vancouver (1637 Lonsdale Avenue) in 2002 and another in downtown Vancouver (857 Hornby Street) in 2014.

In an interview at the downtown location, vice-president Mohsen Rahimi (who said his family bought the company four years ago) said the new location at 562 Broadway will open sometime in January.

Rahimi, who has a background in acupuncture and studied nutrition at UBC, said the size will be the same as the downtown store (2,200 square feet) with a similar layout featuring a juice, smoothie, and coffee bar on one side and shelves (with health-food products, such as supplements, greens powders, body and skincare products, and more) on the other.

Rest assured that the menu will remain largely the same, with smoothies such as Ma' Joon (almond milk, banana, walnut, dates, almond, pistachio, coconut flakes; $7) or Tropi-kale (mango, pineapple, kale, spinach, shredded coconut, orange, almond milk, coconut water; $7.50); juice bar selections, such as Beet It Up (beets, apple, carrot, ginger) ranging from $6 to $9.50; and coffee from espresso and mochas to almond lattes ($2.35 to $4.70).

But there will be a few new additions and updates.

In addition to açai bowls, they'll also be serving hot bowls of oatmeal with Chia Kapow! (chia, coconut, dates, peanuts, hemp hearts, pumpkin seeds, almonds, mangos, cinnamon, raw vanilla).

Smoothie fans, pay attention: as they did with the opening of the Hornby store, Rahimi said they'll be offering free smoothies within the first few days of the opening of the Broadway location, and then a $5-per-smoothie promotional offer for a period of time of that.

Stay tuned for an opening date to be announced.
