      Sacred Holiday Pop-up

      From December 2 to 21 at Dharma Temple (3283 Main Street)

      It’s the last weekend to check out the Sacred holiday pop-up on Main Street: a curated pop-up shop featuring items from some of the city’s most well-known makers that go hand in hand with the Dharma Temple’s serene space. Check out leather totes by AW by Andrea Wong, vintage threads from Hey Jude, and gorgeous statement rings by Solee Darrell. For the home, you can stock up on a variety of terracotta bowls, blankets, and decorative objects from Drifter the Brand. Dharma will also be offering complimentary tarot readings.

      Crafty Affaire Market

      December 17 at Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive)

      With over 100 vendors, the Crafty Affaire Market is your one-stop shop for gift shopping this Saturday (December 17). The event features everything from hand-stamped jewellery and screen-printed Ts to soy-wax candles and geometric terrariums from names like Amara Blue Designs, Eight-1 Apparel, Canvas Candle Company, Meanly Made, and more. Food trucks will also be onsite and the first 25 shoppers through the door will snag a free swag bag loaded with goodies from the market’s makers.

      Winter Craft Fair

      From December 17 to 18 at Homestead Junction (649 East Hastings Street)

      Go green with your holiday routine, while getting acquainted with the city’s maker community, at Homestead Junction’s second annual winter craft fair. The East Van shop will be offering deals on its eco-minded gift baskets, home remedies, and DIY goods, plus handcrafted objects from various up-and-coming artists, jewellery makers, and designers. Think wood kitchen tools by Brennan Wierzba Woodcraft, and upcycled clothing from Doombotseven, knit brooches and scarves by Wildcrafted Wool. A selection of edibles like coffee, jams, jerky, and tea will also be available.

      Women’s Winter Faire

      From December 17 to 18 at Heritage Hall (3102 Main Street)

      Support your local girl gang at the 23rd annual Women’s Winter Faire this weekend, where you’ll find over 50 female artisans and craftswomen hawking a range of goods. Among the items onsite will be Fairtrade, hand-woven baskets from Seed & Straw, organic mud masks and facial cleansers from Royal Herbs, and inspired jewellery and accessories by various First Nations artists. Looking to send out a few holiday greetings? Stop by the booths of Crafty Girl Cards, Handmade by Claire, and more, where you can browse a selection of seasonal stationery.

      VHS Holiday Markets

      December 18 at Vancouver Art and Leisure (1635 Main Street) and BC Dance (877 Hamilton Street)

      The Vancouver Homemade Society is hosting two holiday markets for your last-minute shopping convenience this Sunday (December 18). The Main Street pop-up at Vancouver Art and Leisure will offer pieces such as wood pendants and rings by Lumberjax Wood Jewelry, stackable mugs from Tessaramics, and sci fi–inspired works by Bonnie Gaskin Art. In Yaletown, shoppers will find a similarly eclectic collection of handmade soaps, chic equestrian accessories, and florals from names like Maverick Soap, Street & Saddle, and Midnight & Bloom.
