B.C. is home to some of the best B&Bs in the world. That’s according to a new poll by Booking.com.

Based on over 110 million reviews, the site’s 2016 Guest Review Awards recognized 355,535 properties in 205 countries—with Canada being among the top 20 countries to take home the most awards.

Eight Canadian B&Bs earned a perfect rating of 10/10.

Three of them are in British Columbia:

Hammond Bay Oceanside B&B in Nanaimo

River and Rose B&B in Maple Ridge

The River Haus Bed and Breakfast in Trail

A comfy bed, picturesque view, free Wi-Fi, and decent toiletries were among the top 10 requirements of travellers surveyed. People also voted in favour of places with a great room-service menu, complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, soft pillows, and a waterfall shower.

Other Booking.com research found that  70 percent of travellers say they have the best time while travelling when they can make themselves at home, with 59 percent saying they like to feel a personal connection with the host or staff at their accommodation.
