Photos: Take a tour of Railtown's hub for creativity, Creative Coworkers

It's as much place of work as it is a hub for creatives in Vancouver's Railtown area to gather on a Friday night and enjoy a pint.

Creative Coworkers is unique in that it offers members access to amenities like a production studio and a sound engineering booth, creating options for freelancers that they might not find at another coworking venue.

By offering workshops and meetups on everything from artist CV building and Wordpress basics to data-driven wellness, and more, it's also a place to network and make new connections.

Denise Brennan, co-founder and manager of the space, was joined by interdisciplinary artist and Creative Coworkers member Nancy Lee when the Straight visited the space for a tour.

"I'm super into the idea of adults at play," Brennan says. "I think a lot of us get really locked to out desks, and I encourage people to change it up if they feel like working from a couch, or the hammock. Go where you feel inspired."

Take a look through the images below to get a feeling of what the space is like, and read our larger feature here.

For a higher monthly rate, members can opt to have their very own, dedicated desk.
