Pink moon will appear over Vancouver skies tonight

Tonight at 11:08 p.m., a full moon will hover over Vancouver.

And the one that appears in April is known as the Pink Moon, though it might not appear to be exactly pink in colour.

Indigenous people in North America identified full moons by the time of year they appeared.

The name came from the first appearance of the wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest spring flowers.
