Flowers and fashion unite at NEOflora pop-up shop
Spring and summer blooms may have all but disappeared on the streets of Vancouver, but flower power is going strong in fashion. NEOflora, a Vancouver-based association of floral designers and artists, will be launching a floral pop-up shop at 1202 Robson Street on Thursday (October 25). The week-long pop-up shop aims to increase awareness of B.C.’s floral industry and its connection to fashion by showcasing creations by local floral designers.
The NEOflora store will feature new flower varieties and fashion accessory trends—think flower crowns, arty flower fascinators, sculpted floral jewellery, and more—and on several occasions, models wearing these blooming creations will take to the streets during fashion runway shows. On Sunday (October 28), families are invited to the shop to learn about kid-friendly centrepieces, and on October 30, brides-to-be will find inventive bridal bouquet ideas for their weddings.
Visit the NEOflora website for more details.
