Local fashion students present pop-inspired designs at Chromasia
Those keeping their finger on the pulse of Canada’s next top fashion designers may want to check out Chromasia: The Hue of Personality on Tuesday (July 10) at Granville Island’s Performance Works (1218 Cartwright Street). The fashion show will highlight designs by graduating students from the fashion design program at Vancouver’s John Casablancas Institute.
Chromasia is inspired by pop culture and street fashion, so be prepared to see neon hues, dizzying patterns, and fun, arty designs in this show. Tickets to the show are $20 in advance and can be purchased at the reception desk at John Casablancas Institute (220 Cambie Street) or $25 at the door. All net proceeds from the show will be donated to Covenant House Vancouver.
Those planning to attend Chromasia are encouraged to RSVP at chromasia.jci@gmail.com. The event will also include a silent auction, with items including fascinators by Pilar Rodriguez, jewellery by Mirror Mirror Bijoux, and a $100 gift card to Oakridge Centre.
