Photos: Vancouver Pride parade

Even before this year's Pride parade began, it was clear that this was going to be an extremely busy day in downtown Vancouver.

As I rode my bike down Burrard, the streets were jammed with cars, which were moving more slowly than most of the pedestrians.

The sidewalks along Robson were nearly impassable. Since the parade route was extended down this shopping street, I've found that the best place to view the parade is along Denman Street. So that's where I headed.

That's where the Vancouver Men's Chorus put on a show for the crowd.

The Vancouver Men's Chorus shows its stuff.

I took some snapshots before and during the parade, which you can see below.

Held up traffic and cost even more in fuel and fuel taxes for some of them, as pretty much anti-parade period, I can say this is the least dignified parade with speech uttered without a rebuttal expecting taxpayer's money. Frankly there is speech they'd considered horrible that can ask for a parade now. As a libertarian, on speech especially, I'd support pro-bashing speech (only words). So you can imagine. That it would be censorship to not hold up traffic for all views surrounding the issue as extreme and stupid to the most reasonable and centered. You want it all you have got to be ready for it all.

GZLFB, if you're going to support all kinds of "speech", you should at least make sure yours is intelligible.

Do you see Burt and Ernie at pride instead of the premier. I say let's elect them next year.

What was up with the pissy face's on many male RCMP in the parade? Conversely, female members appeared proud to have exposed the misogynist behavior of their male co-workers!
