Why: French designer Isabel Marant created a sneaker frenzy last spring when she introduced her wedge kicks with Velcro fasteners. A slew of A-listers jumped on the high-heeled sneaker bandwagon and the trend is showing no signs of fading away. These ALDO versions are especially cool because they give the lift and comfort but have a more understated and streamlined design than the overpriced designer ones. Rock them like Beyoncé with leather leggings, dressed-up jersey, and an oversize anorak, or do a Kate Bosworth and pair them with cuffed boyfriend denim, a pastel pullover, and classic Wayfarers.
