Splendid clothing opens first Canadian store in Vancouver

Splendid will open its first Canadian store at Vancouver’s Pacific Centre (701 West Georgia Street) on Friday (July 27). The 900-square-foot store will carry both men’s and women’s collections.

Splendid is a California-based clothing company that began in 2002 with the goal of making the perfect cotton T-shirt. The women’s collection has expanded to include long-sleeve and tank-tops, casual dresses, bottoms, cardigans and jackets, and swimwear. At the Vancouver location, expect to see a variety of colourfully striped tops and maxi-dresses, slim seersucker pants, and lightly draped cardigans. Meanwhile, the men’s collection includes polo shirts, basic Ts, plaid button-down shirts, and khaki shorts.

Splendid at Pacific Centre will throw an official grand opening event, free to the public, from August 3 to 5, which will include in-store treats and deals.

That's great news. There is a desperate shortage of this kind of clothing in Vancouver.

$118 for a maxi dress? You have to be kidding me. Life in Vancouver isn't expensive enough?
