The organizers of the Vancouver Retro Gaming Expo in March are coming back with an event focused on newer video games.

On November 10 and 11, the Vancouver Gaming Expo will take place at the Columbia Theatre in New Westminster.

The all-ages, weekend-long event will include tournaments, panel discussions with developers from Radical Entertainment and Hothead Games, guest speakers such as Vancouver-False Creek NDP nomination candidate Matt Toner, a screening of the documentary Indie Game: The Movie, a performance of Video Game Burlesque by the Vandolls, a concert by missingNo, and a charity auction.

Tickets are $30 for the weekend or $20 for one day, and are available at EXP Restaurant + Bar (309 West Pender Street) in Vancouver and Gamedeals Video Games (407 Columbia Street) in New Westminster, as well as online. Adults purchasing a Sunday pass get two kids (15 years old and under) in free.
