Your horoscope for April 26 to May 2, 2012

One door closes, another opens. Thursday’s alignment of the sun and Ceres, the harvest goddess, begins a potent manifesting chapter. Over the next couple of key weeks and months, a pivotal destiny will build. As has transpired for our beloved Canucks, a singular instant can be the turnstile moment that sets a completely altered reality into play.

For those who don’t know how relevant Ceres is, she is the largest of the four main asteroids in the solar system. A few years back, Pluto (Lord Hades) was demoted to a planetoid, while Ceres (Demeter) was upgraded. Some consider this switch a symbolic inception point for the regeneration of the sacred feminine consciousness into collective hearts and minds. Obviously, we have a long way to go before true nurturance and reverence for each other and for all living things is achieved.

Like the seasons she rules, when Ceres is activated something must die before rebirth can occur. What must die are blind innocence, addiction to violence, and emotional, intellectual, and environmental rape and pillaging. As the veil pulls back on this shadow work, it awakens the raw, creative power of direct, firsthand knowledge.

Through May 3, Ceres trine Pluto offers an opportunity to get a more solid fix on who or what is most worthy. Use the sun’s trine to powerhouse Pluto on Sunday and Tuesday’s productive stars to get yourself where you need to go.

Aries
March 19 - April 19

Thursday and Friday can put you on a push/pull, but past this point the month-end wrap-up should be a straightforward one. Over the next week, you’ll establish better consistency and stamina. Look to affirming results to offer positive reinforcement. A future prospect, ambition, or goal is proving to be less of a question mark and more of a reality.

Taurus
April 19 - May 20

Where there’s a will, there’s a goal within reach. Compulsive ambition can be your driving force, especially on Thursday. So long as the job gets done, let it work as positive fuel. Ceres, Vesta, and the sun seed a fresh initiative now. They loan you great determination too. Mars calls for you to focus all your attention on a single target—namely, your future gain.

Gemini
May 20 - June 20

The more you do, the more you’ll know. Stop wondering “what if” and test the waters. You can’t think yourself into clarity or certainty without the touchy-feely part. In other words, action and the experiential are what will fast-track you best. Watch for the universe to give you the prompt. Once it does, thrust your all into it.

Cancer
June 20 - July 22

On Thursday, you are likely to find yourself on a push-through, push-past, or hustle day. By the time the weekend arrives, your reward is well deserved. A seed of an idea, a developing interest, a plan in the works, or a synchronistic introduction could prove to be of major significance down the road. Optimizing this potential requires you to adjust your viewfinder, opinion, or approach.

Leo
July 22 - August 22

By now, you should have a fairly good handle on what helps you gain ground and what doesn’t. It’s a matter of knowing what to play up and what to play down. Saturday and Sunday, the revitalizing moon in Leo helps you to hit your stride. A fresh, can-do attitude, combined with realistic implementation, is your winning combo.

Virgo
August 22 - September 22

In Virgo since mid November and out of retrograde since the middle of April, Mars is now on the corrective leg of its lengthy tour of your sign. Now through most of May, Mars and Pluto will keep you especially fuelled, focused, and driven. Obsession can get you up and at ’em too. Whatever works! Monday and Tuesday, you can make great headway. Dive at it, just do it.

Libra
September 22 - October 22

Thursday and Friday, your time may not be your own. Get the necessary handled and out of the way. By Saturday, you can move on to pleasure and play with no—or at least fewer—strings attached. The weekend is for taking it as it comes. Soft-start Monday can evaporate with little to show, but productive Tuesday offers quite the reverse.

Scorpio
October 22 - November 21

Once ambition, obsession, or need is set in play, you won’t stop until you get yourself there. It’s a time to forge ahead, despite the inner or outer friction that exists. Saturday and Sunday, you should find that you can pull it together easily and well. Over the next month, Mars and Pluto will help you to steady your gait and gain ground faster.

Sagittarius
November 21 - December 21

The very lengthy Mars-in-Virgo tour has had you working especially hard for each step and gain. Thankfully, Mars has now moved into a more productive and supportive phase. Extra effort is still required, but over the next month you should find that you have more to show for it. Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday, you can turn it to gold.

Capricorn
December 21 - January 20

Thursday can get the better of you, but it’s a different story by Sunday. Through Tuesday, the sun, Ceres, Pluto, and Mars, aligned with the Earth element, help you to optimize yourself and the moment too. Your physical and emotional stamina are at a peak. You’ll get the talk and walk down very well.

Aquarius
January 20 - February 18

Thursday and Friday can put you under added strain or pressure, but come Saturday you’ll feel like someone just opened a window and let you out. The weekend is ideal for socializing, sprucing or spicing it up, indulging, and taking it as it comes. Don’t sweat the unfinished stuff. Tuesday through Thursday, you’ll motor along very well.

Pisces
February 18 - March 19

You can’t push it faster than it’s going, but come Saturday and Sunday you should start to see more progress. Simplicity does it best for the weekend; don’t clutter your work or pleasure time with unnecessary extras. Monday can be a day of uncertainty or dissipation. Tuesday should prove to be a positive forward-thrust day.

"Like the seasons she rules, when Ceres is activated something must die before rebirth can occur."

I note that Pluto (in Capricorn) is currently retrograde until Sept 18th. This should make for interesting times...

If Pluto was demoted to dwarf planet why was asteroid Ceres promoted to dwarf planet?

The way I see it, If Pluto donated all his money to a worthy cause/charity, Ceres would likely eventually ask for a divorce.

Hopefully Pluto won't make any big decisions without the guidance of a lawyer.
