Your horoscope for August 18 to 24, 2011
Violence erupted in the Middle East and spread to the streets of Madrid, Athens, and London. Although the cause was different, it happened in Vancouver, too. What in the world is going on?
The virus is in its inception stage now. Flare-ups will continue and spread. In fact, social contagion is likely to reach pandemic levels over the coming critical years as Uranus and Pluto square off, repeating the intensity of the 1930s and ’60s. The only effective way to stem its growth is the complete overhaul of global consciousness and its self-created reality base.
What we are now witnessing is the rise of the Pluto in Scorpio generation, which is comprised of those born between November 1983 through November 1995.
The members of this very powerful generation have vowed to unleash themselves in order to do battle with their personal shadows—and the collective’s shadow too. They have chosen to nest on the razor’s edge. They will move our collective evolution to where it needs to go. Is violence their only way? Certainly not. Still, they’ll continue to push well past the boundaries and the fear zone. If they don’t destroy themselves first, this generation, and the younger, enlightened ones, are our salvation.
Mercury retrograde continues to August 26. Pay closer attention to signals, details, and budding potentials, especially Sunday through Tuesday.
March 21 - April 20
Even though Mercury is still retrograde, if you feel the urge to jump into something fresh, Thursday’s stars are optimum. Get physical and indulge yourself as you see fit, but don’t push what isn’t coming naturally. Starting Sunday, the stars will start calling your attention to the pending work that lies ahead—but when there’s no real necessity, don’t rush it.
April 21 - May 20
So far you have been fine to stay situated right where you are. In fact, Mercury retrograde has navigated you through an essential levelling-out, confidence-building cycle. It has also offered opportunity to unknot and reknit a relationship bond with a key family member. Still, you know time is moving on and so should you. Start planning and prioritizing. Dust off your ambition.
May 21 - June 21
Do you find that as soon as you envision a change, you immediately shoot yourself down with “yeah, but…”? If so, this should tell you a lot about the expectations you hold. Make the necessary adjustments now. You can’t see what’s around the corner just yet, but when it arrives, you’ll need to make the best possible use of it.
June 22 - July 22
The stars position you at a fork in the road. It’s likely you have a lot riding on the moment, especially if moving forward depends on others coming through for you. Stay hopeful. More—and better—options lie ahead. Watch for Venus (Sunday), the sun (Wednesday), and the end of Mercury retrograde (next Friday) to pry open a fresh window.
July 23 - August 22
Thursday can be a good match-strike day, so hit while it’s hot. At the start of next week, Venus and the sun will leave your sign. Their benefits will continue, but now you’ll need to pay closer attention to discern what’s viable and what’s not. Adjustments and added effort will be required. The necessary, the possible, and the probable will become increasingly more transparent.
August 23 - September 22
Where have you been lately? Off on an adventure or slogging through a Mercury retrograde tangent? Lost your way a little—or a lot? Once Venus and the sun are solidly into Virgo, you’ll find a fresh wind under your sail. What’s been lost is not as important as what’s been gained along the way. It gets much easier from here.
September 23 - October 23
No matter what the weather dishes up, use the weekend to max out on your love affair with summer. While it isn’t over for weeks yet, as Venus and the sun transition into work-oriented Virgo—on Sunday and Tuesday respectively—the “back to it” signal will start to flash more insistently. In fact, the signs will be everywhere you look.
October 24 - November 22
Uncertain as to how you should play it next? Continue to make the most of the moment and stay alert. Several planetary shifts will take place over the next two weeks. As that happens, the compass will progressively become clearer to read. There is a lot more to come. Expect to see it soon, perhaps even immediately. Busy days lie ahead.
November 23 - December 21
Thursday offers your best day to put it out there or to get a move on. On Friday and Saturday, keep your comfort in mind; let them come to you. Sunday through Tuesday, inspiration or needs hit their peak. No matter where the motivation comes from, follow the prompt. Set priorities in order, put ambition to work, and you’ll fast track yourself to somewhere good.
December 22 - January 20
You can be impressed, you can get caught up, and you can be blown away too. Whether it involves love, money, or creative enterprise, something substantial is percolating behind the scenes. You don’t know it all just yet. Sunday through Tuesday can reveal more. Progressively through next week’s end, you’ll gain a better vantage point.
January 21 - February 19
Spontaneity serves it up best on Thursday. As the weekend arrives, social plans and personal or family interests could require added juggling. The expense or purchase price can surpass your comfort zone, but scrimping could prove to be a high price to pay too. Stay within reason, and you should be able to handle the extra.
February 20 - March 20
Your creativity or imagination can be doing triple time, especially while the sun, Venus, and Mercury retrograde continue to be so active. An uncertainty now forces you to examine your sense of deserving. Mid next week and onward, the focus on your viewfinder will sharpen. Watch and wait for signals, events, and people to set the plays in motion.
