Due to its retrograde cycle, which occurred earlier in the year, Mars has spent not the usual six to seven weeks but eight long months travelling through Virgo. During this time, Mars has been working to expose what isn’t serving well enough, to pinpoint what is in need of improvement, repair, and healing.
As of its advance into Libra on July 3, Mars aims to reconcile with the critical assessment phase it has just left. Through August 23, it will look to create more cooperation, harmony, justice, and same-page accord, to strike a better balance between give and take. Mars—now facilitated by Venus, Jupiter, and Ceres in Gemini—improves the idea exchange and communication flow. Certainly better alliance is critical for the EU and the United Nations peacekeepers.
Thursday’s Aquarius moon makes for an optimal time to connect the dots. Saturday and Sunday can bring a poignant healing, truce, or moving on. At the start of the new week, the Aries moon brings an added spark or impetus. Watch for something fresh, new, or unexpected to throw the switch. Stay goal- or results-driven on Tuesday.
Mercury in Leo maintains a creative, playful, and optimizing dialogue with Uranus through the end of the week. If you want to seize the best the stars have to offer, do it now. Next weekend, it could be anything goes as both Uranus and Mercury hit the reverse switch.

After eight months of coping with one brushfire after another, Mars is finally onto a fresh-page initiative. Through August 23, Mars in Libra increases your desire to get a better dialogue going, and to strike a better balance between personal wants and needs.
