Each show features a turkey draw and an audience sing-along of holiday favorites! Reconceived as a tale where Scrooge owns a pawn shop on Hastings Street, this imaginative all-ages production offers a bittersweet twist on a cherished classic that celebrates the transformative power of human redemption. Now more than 150 years old, Dickens’ timeless story remains relevant today, especially in light of parallels between the economic disparities of Victorian London and Vancouver’s DTES.

Christmas Marketplace will be open daily until Dec 22nd - extended hours Mon-Fri 10am to 6pm; Sat 10am to 5pm; Sun 12 noon to 4pm. Presented as the Tri Cities’ only artist-run co-op gift shop, Blackberry Artist’s Society offers unique locally made fine arts and crafts solutions for all your gift-buying needs. Presenting fine studio artwork, including pieces for the ever-popular Christmas Ornament Tree, the society gift shop offers visual arts, jewelry, ceramics, textile arts, woodworking and gift cards among other media. All work is local, original and often one-of-a-kind. Meet Your Makers: The society’s artists will be at the opening reception, as well as staffing the shop 7 days a week until Christmas. Members are also running free demo events on Saturday afternoons, 12:30-2:30pm, for crafting close encounters.
