Adhering to the principle that everything old is new again—if you just wait long enough—Peter Brunette and the Lake Hill Band offer up a potpourri of folk classics and Peter’s originals that sound as much as possible like folk classics. Nothing “alt” or “neo” here, just plain, honest acoustic music that adheres to Harlan Howard’s time-tested formula: three chords and the truth.

A regular at folk clubs and coffee houses on Vancouver Island, Peter readily wins audiences over with his wry humor, his infectious enthusiasm for the music, and the homespun charm of his country-inflected vocals. Rounding out the band are Martin Redwood on lead guitar and backup vocals and Ken Wodlinger on upright bass and backup vocals.

Tonight’s performance celebrates the release of Peter’s album "Meadowlark," produced by Corwin Fox. The concert starts at 9:00 pm, after the VFSS open stage.
