This International Women’s Day, join us as we revel in the voices and music of some of the most prominent women musicians on the West Coast.

Vocalists Karin Plato, Laura Crema and Jennifer Scott will head a band featuring Brenda Baird on piano, Jen Hodge on bass and Karen Graves on saxophone. Special guest vocalists include Lorraine Foster and Deanna Knight.

Atira is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to supporting women and children who have experienced, or are experiencing, the impact of violence and abuse.

Proceeds will go to Enterprising Women Making Art (EWMA), an Atira program. For twelve years EWMA has provided safe, income-generating opportunities for women in the Downtown Eastside free from exploitation, abuse and other vulnerabilities. Participation at EWMA is completely free, ensuring that EWMA is accessible to all women in the Downtown Eastside.
