musica intima is pleased to announce the return of novum musica on Friday March 6 at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. musica intima once again joins ranks with Canada’s finest emerging composers to host a public reading and workshop session of ambitious new contemporary works.

Targeted at uplifting choral composers, both established and new, novum musica will feature works by the most innovative writers for vocal ensemble. In addition to the public performance, members of musica intima will facilitate dialogue between our ensemble and composers who are on the forefront of developing the new context for Canadian vocal music.

This is truly a special opportunity for composers and students to witness great contemporary choral works being workshopped by a Canadian vocal ensemble with incomparable skill.

- Aitake, Lucas M. Oickle
