G & I Shining Stars Youth Society is a non-profit organization providing outreach to children, youth and their families in Vancouver's Inner-City.
We are hosting our 14th Annual Bridges of Friendship Dinner and silent Auction. We have many past students who volunteer annually therefore it is also a good opportunity to see how our past students are doing.
The dinner will be provided by volunteers and students from our programs and there will also be entertainment provided by the students as well. This event allows the children to develop skills such as leadership and teamwork that they are able to use in their educational and career lives. It also gives the students an opportunity to showcase their skills and display their passions.
The proceeds raised will help send a child to camp, assist in the support of a child or youth attending Shining Stars Camp Can-Do Summer Program, Shining Stars After-School program that improve literacy, leadership skills and helping to advance academic and life skills throughout the academic year. It will also provide safe reliable transportation, books, nutritious meals, education materials and bursaries for youth who are continuing post-secondary education.
