Kidlat Tahimik, Perfumed Nightmare
SFU Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, 149 W. Hastings, Vancouver Great Filipino director Kidlat Tahimik will appear in person to show and discuss his first film, Perfumed Nightmare (1977). A beautiful film about a young man, played by Tahimik, who pursues his dream of being the first Filipino in space, only to learn the nightmare that lies behind the sweet surface of American dreams.
A second screening of his new film, BalikBayan#1 will be on Tuesday, April 28.
