Join the Georgia Strait Alliance (GSA)and 1% for the Planet for a special business-oriented event on Tuesday May 26 at 5 pm, at the Tap & Barrel (Vancouver Convention Centre) to talk about the economic benefits of a vibrant waterfront, and some of the grave risks to our waterfront, as the recent bunker fuel spill in English Bay has made all too clear.

Our featured speakers include:

- Peter Raab, local real estate agent & 1% for the Planet member
- Spencer Chandra Herbert, Vancouver West End MLA
- Christianne Wilhelmson, Executive Director, Georgia Strait Alliance
- Mike Rowlands, 1% for the Planet representative in Canada & Principal at Junxion

Join in on our discussion on Vancouver’s waterfront, its value for our local economy and quality of life, and the many reasons a healthy marine waterfront benefits all of us: residents who live and play on or near the water, the many businesses – in tourism, shipping, recreation and other industries - that depend on the waterfront for their livelihoods, or the individuals and organizations who work for better coexistence between our urban activities and the preservation and restoration of our natural habitats.

Tickets are $10 and include appetizers, refreshments, guest speakers, door prizes from Patagonia, and learn more about how you and your business can get involved in protecting the Strait.
