The Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art presents an incredible solo exhibition of the work of Robert Davidson—his first solo exhibition in the Lower Mainland in ten years! The exhibition opens on May 22, 2015 with an artist panel discussion from 6-7pm and reception from 7-9pm. We have been working on this exhibition for over a year and are so close to our goal! We need community support to bring the exhibition to full life. Visit our indiegogo campaign:

Robert Davidson: Progression of Form is a wonderful project consisting of an exhibition, catalogue, educational workshops and performances which will explore Robert Davidson’s latest artwork within the context of the current landscape of contemporary Canadian art and Davidson’s cultural and artistic history. The exhibition will showcase twenty of Davidson’s most recent paintings as well as two epoxy-coted aluminum sculptures, several masks and totem poles as well as a house post to be finished specifically for the exhibition; a catalogue and community programs will recognize the importance of the integration of the visual and performing arts and their intrinsic relationship with culture, ceremony and Haida identity.

The Rainbow Creek Dancers will perform for the community on May 23, 2015; 2pm and Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson, award winning Haida singer-songwriter will perform with special guests Bill Henderson and Claire Lawrence in the Gallery on May 30, 2015; 2pm. Tickets $10, $7 for students and children under 12 attend free. Call 604-998-8563 for ticket information.
