A mother’s desperate attempts to run her daughter’s wedding rehearsal while keeping dark family secrets from exposing themselves.

Written by by acclaimed Vancouver playwright and recent Stephen Leacock Award nominee Aaron Bushkowsky, helmed by award-winning director Sarah Rodgers.

This dark, bittersweet comedy features performers Deborah Williams, Gary Jones, Gili Roskies, and Josh Drebit. Set design is by Yvan Morissette, costumes by Sheila White, lighting by John Webber, projections and photography by Emily Cooper, sound and music design by Anton Lipovetsky, assisted by Tanika Charles. Dramaturgy is by Melissa Poll. The stage manager is Carol Chrisjohn. Assistant producer is Bronwyn Carradine and the assistant director is Jessica Ross-Howkins. Technical director is Stephen Beaver.

Playing at Performance Works on Granville Island, “Dressing for a Wedding” opens Nov. 13 and runs until Nov. 29, Tuesday to Sunday, the longest run in Solo Collective’s history.
