This two-day Sound Thinking symposium explores the inversion of the city-suburb through poets, fiction writers, spoken word artists, and storytellers who read, speak, and voice the experiences of the polyphonic Southbank region. Novelist M.G. Vassanji is the keynote speaker.

Saturday's event is a literary cabaret that takes place at Olympia Restaurant in Surrey from 7-11:30PM (10257 King George Blvd). Sunday's event is a panel discussion featuring the keynote speaker at the Surrey Art Gallery 12-5PM (13750 88 Ave).
