Blessing of the Animals

St. Francis of Assisi, born in the 12th century, is the patron saint of animals and the environment. On St. Francis' feast day (usually held on or around October 4) animals are blessed to celebrate his (and our) love for animals and all creation. Please bring your 4-legged and winged friends to church on Sunday, October 4 at 4 pm to be blessed and join everyone for refreshments outside (weather permitting) immediately following the service.
